Obituary of Carolyn Hendricks

Carolyn Hendricks passed away July 6, 2023, at Panorama in Lacey, Washington, her home the past eight years.  She was born July 5, 1949, to Robert and Edna “Cloe” Johnston in Aberdeen, Washington.

 

Carolyn graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1971; married Gerald “Jerry” Hendricks on March 17, 1984, in Olympia; and was an executive assistant at various Washington state agencies. 

 

Carolyn loved quilting, making hats and pillowcases for the homeless, and volunteering at The Barn at Panorama.  She enjoyed being of service to others.  Valuing and nurturing friendships were very important to her.  She was a member of the New Horizons Band.

 

Carolyn is survived by her son, J. Adam Berg of Lacey.  She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Jerry, in December 2015.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023, 11:30 a.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
