Obituary of Lloyd Blankenship
Lloyd Blankenship finished his journey in this life on June 24, 2023, at the age of 93 with his family by his side. He was born in Packwood, Washington, on May 28, 1930.
Lloyd lived in Packwood and Randle his entire life. In his younger years, he worked in the logging industry and, after being hurt in the woods, he went to work for White Pass School District, where he finished his career as maintenance supervisor. After retirement, he worked the family farm.
Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. He always had funny story or saying to share.
Lloyd married the love of his life, Jackie McCall, in 1950. After Jackie passed away in 2010, he spent time with his family and close friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Lloydene Weiks; son, Wayne Blankenship, and his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Paulette Eaton, and her husband, Jeff. Lloyd has seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large extended family.
At Lloyd's request, there will be no memorial service.
He would always tell you to “Be careful and don't take any wooden nickels.”
