Obituary of Eric Kenneth Cooper
Eric Kenneth Cooper passed away January 29, 2023, in Olympia, Washington. He was born November 19, 1964, to Waltrult Baltutt and Kenneth M. Cooper in Bamberg, Germany. His first wife, Carla Getersburg, was the mother of Nick Getersburg. Eric’s second wife was Valerie Cherie Redmond, who was the mother of Aaron E. Cooper and Andrea C. Adams.
Eric was a man full of laughs, spirit and joy; an amazing father, brother, uncle and friend; and a tradesman of many forms, specializing in roofing and carpentry.
Eric loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed a variety of interests, such as Atlanta Falcons football, NASCAR, gardening, golfing, boating and many other adventurous pastimes. He had an infectious laugh and an easy-going nature. He would want us to remember him as the amazing man he was and to celebrate the life and joy that he brought to those he cared for.
Eric was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles #21, where he was a valued brother. He could often be found shooting a friendly game of pool with his FEO brothers and his eight family brothers.
Eric may be gone but will never be forgotten. He will be forever in our hearts. Rest easy Eric Kenneth Cooper and fly high.
Eric is survived by his sons, Nick Gerstenberg of Wichita, Kansas, and Aaron Eric Cooper of Augusta, Georgia; daughter, Andrea Cherie Cooper-Adams of Augusta; brothers, Frank of Utah, Pete of Augusta, Burt, Ben, Daniel, David, Issac, and Nathan, all of Olympia; and sister, Angela of San Diego, California.
Services have been held in Olympia.
