Obituary of Richard Bushnell

Richard Bushnell passed away January 15, 2023, in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 70. He was born July 30, 1952, to Kenneth and Freida Bushnell in Centralia, Washington, and graduated from Oakville High School in 1970.

 

Rick worked at a sawmill and shake mills.  Most of his career was spent at Simpson Door Company in McCleary, Washington.

 

The most important thing to Rick was his family.  He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and looked forward to all holiday gatherings.  He enjoyed time spent with his friends, and loved to hunt, fish, and camp with both friends and family.

 

Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Irene; children, Sheila, Jamis and Max; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie and Betty; uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and several childhood friends.  He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Bonnie, Lee, Jim, and Ed.

 

Services will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Grand Mound Cemetery, 6300 183^rd Ave. SW, Rochester, WA 98579.
