Obituary of Elizabeth Joan Phinney

Elizabeth Joan Phinney passed away January 11, 2023, in Puyallup, Washington.  She was born January 15, 1939, to Herb and Elizabeth (Oliver) Warrick in Seattle, Washington.  She resided in Olympia, Washington, for 46 years, and Kodiak, Alaska for four years (1973-1976).

 

Elizabeth graduated from Seattle’s Roosevelt High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Washington in 1962.  She married in 1965 and was later divorced.  Professionally, Elizabeth worked for the Washington State Patrol, Washington State Department of Ecology, and Washington State Department of Transportation. 

 

Elizabeth was smart, kind, funny, supportive, and loving.  She enjoyed reading, quilting, watching movies, doing puzzles, and spending time with her grandkids.

 

She is survived by her sons, Daniel Phinney, Adam Phinney, and David Phinney; daughter, Wendy Phinney; and six grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Bob Warrick, Herb Warrick, and Don Warrick.

 

Services are not yet scheduled.
