Mike was my first and best boss at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Information and Education Office, and we became friends who shared Nebraska roots. When I retired four years ago we talked about meeting up on Nebraska's Platte River to enjoy the sandhill crane migration spectacle together. Now, the next time I'm there, I'll remember him fondly and celebrate his life promoting the enjoyment and protection of fish and wildlife. I hope everyone's good memories of Mike help you through this sad time. -- Madonna Luers
