Obituary of Hans W. Jung
Hans W. Jung passed away December 27, 2022, in Olympia, Washington, his home of 52 years. He was born February 2, 1940, in Frankfurt, Germany.
Hans attended high school in Lincolnwood, Illinois, completed his undergraduate work at Northwestern University, and earned his doctorate through the School of Dentistry and Orthodontics. He worked as an orthodontist from 1969 to his retirement in 2005.
Hans served in the U.S. Air Force and married Mary Jean Lankenau on April 20, 1968, in New Jersey.
He was kind, loving, and dedicated to his family. He always said to his daughters, “Make yourself proud.” He loved golf and working outdoors in his yard. He also loved all Chicago sports teams.
Hans is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Jung; daughters, Holly Jung (Rick) Wisen and Meggan Jung (Kyle Wilkins); grandchildren, Tate Wisen and Addison Wisen; and sister, Helmi Schade.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Olympia Country Club.
