Obituary of Arlene B. Freitag
Fifty-one-year resident of Chehalis, Wash., Arlene Bottorff Freitag passed away of natural causes on December 6, 2011, in Centralia, Wash. She was born June 11, 1936, to Robert and Karen Bottorff in Longview, Wash.
Arlene graduated from Longview’s R.A. Long High School and attended Longview Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Business. Professionally, she was a teller at SeaFirst Bank and purchaser for the Washington State Liquor Control Board. She was active with the Lewis County Republicans and served for several years as Precinct Committee Person for the voting precinct of Claquato.
She is survived by her son, John Eric Freitag of Chehalis, Wash.; daughter-in-law, the former Angela R. Ross of Gruver, Texas; granddaughters, Jessica McClain of Shoreline, Wash., Jennifer and Christine Freitag of San Diego, Calif.; and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Chris and Aurelia Rose McClain of Shoreline.
A celebration of life will be held at the Fred Hess building at Recreation Park in Chehalis on Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eulogy will be given at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chehalis Visiting Nurses.
