Obituary of Gregory Leppert

Gregory Leppert, born December 10, 1945, passed away of natural causes on November 2, 2022, in Lacey, Washington, his home of 35 years.  Over his lifetime, he also resided in Texas, Arizona, and North Dakota.

 

Gregory graduated from La Moure High School in North Dakota, and earned a bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University, and a teaching degree from Pacific Lutheran University. 

 

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967 to 1988.  He studied at the Air Command and Staff College, and received several honors while serving during the Vietnam War, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, Presidential and Unit Citations, and Vietnam Service Medal.

 

Gregory married Frances Jane Ward on October 12, 1974, in Texas.

 

He worked for Hughes Aircraft and Boeing.  He loved fishing, camping, reading, hiking, and woodworking, and was a member of Lutheran Church-Good Shepherd.

 

He is survived by his wife, Frances Jane Leppert; daughters, Kelli C. DeMonte (Chris), Amanda R. Robinson (Brian), Amie J. Leppert and Dawn Feyhl (Gilbert); four grandchildren; and brothers, Ken Leppert (Gretchen) and Bob Leppert (Iris).  He was predeceased by his parents, Kermit and O’Tillie Leppert; and grandparents, Katie and Jacob Bender, and Gus and Clara Leppert.
