Obituary of Peggy Sharon Erdman

Peggy Sharon (Orr, Duckworth) Erdman passed away October 6, 2022, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born October 24, 1934, to Charles Perry Orr and Evelyn M. (Hodges) Orr in Ellensburg, Washington. She grew up in Naches, Washington, and resided in Walla Walla, Washington, from 1958 until moving to Olympia in 2008.

 

After graduating high school, Peggy lived in Ellensburg, where she earned her bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University.  She then lived in Seattle with her future sister-in-law, Anne, as she completed her 5th Year Teaching Certificate.

 

In 1958, Peggy married Roger A. Duckworth in Naches after he completed four years in the U.S. Air Force.  They lived in Pullman while he completed his Architectural Program at Washington State University and then they settled in his hometown of Walla Walla.  They had two daughters.  He passed away in1965.

 

In 1972, Peggy married Clark D. Erdman in Walla Walla and added two sons to the immediate family and joined a large extended family.  Clark passed away in 2009.

 

Peggy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the Retired Teachers Association, Olympia Senior Center, and several book clubs.

 

She is survived by her two daughters and their families, and two sons and their families; and much-loved extended family and friends.  She was predeceased by both husbands; parents; brother, Gary Orr (Loretta); and sister, Daris Richardson (Bob).

 

At Peggy’s request, there will be no formal service.
