Obituary of Peggy Lynne Hinrichs

Loving wife, devoted mother and wonderful grandmother, Peggy Lynne (Fussell) Hinrichs passed away due to Parkinson’s on September 22, 2022, in Yelm, Washington, her home of six years.  She was born May 5, 1945, to Helen and Raymond Fussell in Seattle, Washington.  She also resided in Napa, California, from 1979 to 2010.

 

Peggy was a 1963 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Tacoma, Washington, and earned a BA in English in 1967 from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.  She married Robert Hinrichs on December 16, 1967, in Reno, Nevada.

 

Peggy was a was a librarian at Napa Valley Library.  She loved reading books for her own pleasure and with her grandchildren.  She also loved singing with Melody Choral, and enjoyed having her dachshunds by her side.  She was a member of Eastern Star for over 30 years.  She will be remembered for always treating everyone as family.

 

Peggy is survived by her husband, Robert Hinrichs of Yelm; son, Kevin Hinrichs (wife, Shawna) of San Francisco, California; daughter, Kimberly Gagnon (husband, Paul) of Yelm; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Richard Fussell; and sister, Janice Fox.

 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, 3:30 p.m. at Yelm Cemetery, 11540 Cemetary Road, Yelm, WA 98597.  There will be a celebration of her life on Sunday, November 20, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at the Yelm Senior Center, 16530 103rd Ave. SE, Yelm, WA 98597.
