Obituary of Glenn Ernest Blacketer Jr.

Glenn Ernest Blacketer Jr. passed away September 23, 2022, in Lakewood, Washington.  He was born February 3, 1972, to the late Glenn Blacketer Sr. and Leora F. George.  He was an Enrolled Nisqually Tribal Member; his maternal tribe was the Yakima Nation.

 

Glenn received a diploma from Chief Leschi High School and earned an AA degree from South Puget Sound Community College.  He worked in customer service and as a cashier.

 

He was a talented artist, specializing in tribal and fantasy art.  He also loved to cook.  He was a music enthusiast and loved music from virtually every genre.  He loved anime, Halloween, and all sorts of sci-fi media.

 

Glenn loved his grandson, and also was a fantastic uncle.  He had a loving and forgiving heart.  His love and enthusiasm for life will be missed.  May he always have a cold Slurpee.

 

Glenn is survived by his son, Daniel K. Blacketer; grandson; mother, Leora F. George; brothers, Melvin L. Blacketer and Daniel S. Blacketer; sisters, Linda D. Bryant and Janell B. Blacketer; and grandmother, Arlene I. George.  He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn E. Blacketer St; grandmother, Beatrice E. Blacketer; uncle, Robert Blacketer and Charles Blacketer; and cousin, Manuel DeLaCruz.

 

Services were held September 29, 2022, at the Nisqually Adult Wellness Center.
