Obituary of Caren Marie Rose

Caren Marie (Smith) Rose passed away peacefully in Olympia, Washington, on September 4, 2022. She was born on July 24, 1956, in San Diego, California, to James Lincoln Smith and Barbara June (Hunt) Smith. Caren was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, W. Russell Rose.

She was proud to serve her community by volunteering for a variety of agencies, including Senior Services for South Sound, Habitat for Humanity, Lions, Olympia Childcare, and others.

Caren is survived by her sister Kathryn Chesley, along with Russell's children and their families.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at The United Churches of Olympia, 110 11th Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98501.

Donations in Caren’s memory may be made to the Thurston County Food Bank or Senior Services for South Sound.
