Obituary of Betty (Lawson) Wirth

Betty J. (Lawson) Wirth passed away August 14, 2022, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born March 10, 1930, to Heine Slovich and Millie (Wicker) Slovich in Tacoma, Washington. 

 

She graduated from Tacoma’s Lincoln High School.  She married Arthur Wirth in Olympia, and later William Lawson in Tacoma.  Professionally, she worked as a secretary for ironworkers and painters unions in Tacoma.  She also worked as a food demonstrator, passing out samples.

 

Betty loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was a snowbird to Florida. She also loved to play cards, especially Texas Holdem and Traveling.

 

She is survived by her son, Robert Lawson; daughter, Kathy Balcom, and son-in-law, William Balcom; grandchildren, Chad Balcom, Kevin Balcom, Tyra Patterson and Todd Lawson; and four great-grandchildren.
