Vicki Walker

Obituary of Vicki Lynn Walker

Vicki Lynn Walker passed away July 18, 2022, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born April 18, 1943, to Earle Gose and Ethelyn Nelson in Puyallup, Washington.  She grew up in Southern California and moved to the Steamboat Island Road area 27 years ago.

Vicki graduated from Westminster High School in California.  She was very social, friendly, kind, and loyal, always staying in touch with extended family and high school friends. She was adventurous, and loved traveling, especially to Victoria, B.C., and festivals around the state.  She shared her travel passion by taking each grandchild on a trip for high school graduation.

Vicki loved get-togethers with family and friends, Sunday dinners, restaurants, happy hour, and high tea.  She also loved music, theater, going to movies, celebrating Oscar night, and playing cards with friends and grandkids.

She spent many years attending Westwood Baptist Church and enjoyed the women’s Bible study group.  She often volunteered at the local food bank and was a member of the Olympia LOCA group. She made mention on numerous occasions that the “best thing she ever did” was give her life to Jesus Christ, living her later years loving the Lord and pursuing His righteousness, running the race with endurance even in the end.

Vicki is survived by daughters, Holly Reese (husband, Mark) of Fountain Valley, California, and Angela Dalessandro (husband, Art) of Olympia; grandchildren, Brittany Fiedler, Jenna Reese, Amanda Dalessandro, and Arthur Dalessandro; nephew, Dave Wellhausen (wife, Janet); great-nieces, Jillian, Amber and Miranda.

Services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church-chapel, 333 Kaiser Road NW, Olympia, WA 98502.
