Loved my niece. Such a sweet laid-back hostess for our Christmases and Thanksgivings for the last few years. Wish she could see her garden where she even knew the Latin names of her plants. I remember when she got out of college and had a job flying off to Sri Lanka to buy clothing for banana republic and I thought "gosh I'd be afraid to do that!." And of course there was the time she was driving across country and stopped in Eugene and I said "your dogs can't come inside of our house" and so she slept in the garage with them! We did give her a mattress! And I do remember when she was a swimmer in high school and had these amazing back and shoulder muscles. And when she and Mark Small got married and walked from the church to the reception hall through the streets of the little town. What a gorgeous bride. Still hard to believe I won't be seeing her soon
