Obituary of Donna J. Rylander

Donna J. Rylander, 75, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Rochester, New York, passed away with her two children by her side on May 4, 2022. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, William J. Marks, Jr. and Jean P. Marks.  Donna is survived by her son, Josh McKinney, and his girlfriend, Samantha Buchite; daughter, Meagan Darrow, and her husband, Jason; two cherished grandsons, Nathan and Matthew Darrow; brother, William P. Marks; sisters, Penny Gionta and her husband Sam, Mary Alice Liotta and her husband Steve; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear lifelong friends.

Donna loved her kids, grandkids, and was a beloved Auny. She loved chocolate, playing cribbage, Words with Friends, and Bunco with her many friends. She loved to cook for crowds, read, and travel. She’ll be remembered for her appetizers, chicken enchiladas, suitcase prizes, and Christmas jammies.

Donna’s family would like to offer special thanks to the Quality Care Adult Family Home and Assured Hospice for the care and support they provided. 

At Donna’s request, there will be no service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
