Obituary of Melanie Diane Myers

Melanie D. (Sanford) Myers passed away April 23, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Melanie was born December 16, 1963, in Rupert, Idaho, to George and Lois (Rogers) Sanford. 

Melanie married Dave Davis on March 23, 1981, and they resided in Olympia, Washington.  They had four children together and later divorced. 

Melanie married Ricky Myers on July 4, 2002.  Melanie and Ricky enjoyed taking adventures together.  They traveled to Europe on several occasions.  Melanie collected magnets from every trip she made. She enjoyed gardening and crafting, and loved meeting new people.

Melanie is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Sanford; and brother, Carey Brent Sanford.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Ricky Myers; three daughters, Dawn (Rob) Heagy, LeAnne Prachasaisoradej, Heather Davis; son, Christopher Davis; stepdaughter, Daviena Schauer; sisters, Brenda Garza and Lori Younger; brothers, Terry Sanford and Bryan Sanford; grandchildren, Jaylynn Howell, Shelby (Ezequiel) Arizaga, Silas Lyman, Seth Lyman, Joey McMillan, Amber (Adam) Monaco, Krystyne Bramlet, Maxwell Prachasaisoradej, Parker Prachasiasoradej; and six great-grandchildren.   

A celebration of life will held in July.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melanie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
