Obituary of John David Wreggit
Dr. John David Wreggit went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 23, 2022, in Lacey, Washington. He was born in Michigan to Dr. and Mrs. Winston Wreggit.
John graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, specializing in child psychiatry. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Air Force at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska. Following his military service, he started his own psychiatric practice in Anchorage, serving children and families for 22 years. He then moved to Washington and continued his career in psychiatry until his retirement.
He and his wife Nancy were married in 1963. He was an avid outdoorsman, leading his family on many adventures in Alaska and Washington. He shared his love of boating, hiking, fishing, and camping, creating many great memories along the way.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Nancy; sons, David (Annette) and Steven (Katrina); grandsons, Nathan (Rowyn) and Brandon; brother, George (Norma); and sister, Barbara (Jim).
John and Nancy were longtime members of Westwood Baptist Church in Olympia.
There will be a memorial service at the church at a later date.
