It was always brighter when I'd see you. You lit up the Co-op whenever you graced us with your presence. Here's a tree from a fellow tree lover! Join in honoring their life - plant a memorial tree

Wow - Never was there a brighter smile, a better laugh, or a hug for days. Dad is standing right behind home plate, where you did many times with him, Diet Pepsi in hand. We were all richer with you in our lives. Tell my dad and the other little lady, my mom, hello. Rest Easy!

Mo was nothing short (pun intended) of amazing! I was so lucky to have her as a neighbor for the past 16 years! She saved my miscreant dogs from lives on the street many times! They would burst out of my yard headed for freedom only to be caught by Mo’s tenacious defense which she learned from decades on softball fields! One time, she called me to tell me she captured my Melody after a 45 minute battle of wits! I was in Boston at a shower for my future daughter-in-law!
You May have guessed that I have a very special place in my heart for Mo. I recognized her as a fellow softball athlete the moment I met her. She and Mel were an amazing team! It wasn’t always easy to be a female athlete back in the day. But she was a role model to thousands of young girls growing up. I’m sure her exercise classes did the same for lots of women who didn’t know yet that physical activity and athleticism could bring as much joy into their lives as it did into hers.
Mo I know you’re still with us. Your heart and spirit will stay with us forever.
All my love,
Barbara

I was very fortunate to have worked with Mo at Rainbow Sports Northwest. Her bubbly personality and positive "can do" demeanor was catching and it made work there always fun, even under the gun of putting together uniforms (heat transfers) and serving numerous customers. She was a wonder with youthful staff and had a natural way of being able to uplift and encourage them through their ups and downs of dealing with life events. What a gem of a person and Mel is and was certainly blessed to have the time together he did with Mo! My highest wishes and heartfelt prayers out and over to you Mel! My best to you and your family, John Specht

I was a member of Maureen's Womans Fitness class at the Olympia Center for many years. There are several of us who joined her class together that still attend there, but it has never been the same without her energy and fun spirit. We were so sad to hear about her passing and everyone had lots of fun stories to tell about our time with her. So sad for her family. Peggy Ellison

I too know Mo from the Co-op and was always so happy to see her. Her smile was so bright and beautiful and I loved hearing her laugh. Her dedication to fitness has been such an inspiration to me over the years, and I will always appreciate how freely she shared her joy and enthusiasm. She was so loved at the Co-op and will be missed very much.

I have the honor and joy to have known Mo for at least 35 years, from the time I first took a job at Olympia Food Co-op. Mo and Mel brought so much love and energy every time they came to shop, laughing and commiserating about any one of our favorite sports teams. You could hear Mo's laughter filling up our tiny stores. I loved Mo. My most sincere condolences to Mel and to everyone who is feeling the loss. You made the world a brighter place. I miss you.

You know she’s the cute and feisty one far left. Aunt Maureen was always upbeat and ready to make you smile ;)
