Obituary of Jerry W. Cook

Jerry W. Cook passed away of natural causes on March 4, 2022, in Tumwater, Washington.  He was born January 13, 1944, to Lawrence and Velma Cook in Tacoma, Washington.

 

Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War (October 2, 1963 to September 29, 1967).  Professionally, he was a journeyman tireman at Weyerhaeuser for 28 years. 

 

He was loving, caring, kind, and would help anyone who needed help.  He loved old cars, and car racing at South Sound Speedway. He also loved going to the Packwood swap meet twice a year, to the beach, and on numerous adventures with his daughter, Angi.

 

Jerry is survived by his son, Jeff Cook; daughters, Angi Dailey (Mick) and Pam Whalen (Steve); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents.

 

A memorial service will be held later in spring 2022.
