We are so grateful to Rodney for the decade of making handles for our Mobility Carts. When he shipped the last batch in July 2020, he reported he had made about 36,700 handles in all. We have appreciated his volunteering and compassion for those with leg handicaps around the world most in need of mobility. We will miss him. As a pastor one is expected to say nice things about someone who has passed. In Rod's case, however, it isn't what to include, but rather, what to omit! Watching Rod was seeing what a Christian is supposed to look like, in his actions -- the things he chose not to do -- and how he interacted with others; the things he said, and how deeply he loved Mother Earth because, as he commented once, "It's the only place we have to live, yet." I will miss his deep philosophical discussions, as well. It has been my honor to experience God's child who was Rod Hanson. He has gone to be in beauty.
