Obituary of Donald Jesse Asbach

Donald Jesse Asbach passed away on January 17, 2022, in Olympia, Washington.  He was born July 5, 1943, to Gordon H. and Bessie M. Asbach in Argonne, Wisconsin.

 

Donald graduated from North Thurston High School in 1961.  He married Sandra Allman on February 27, 1965, at Olympia’s First Baptist Church.  Professionally, he worked in construction, drywall and cabinetry.

 

Donald loved people, family, animals, and God.  He was a member of Shepherds Chapel. He also loved singing and playing guitar for family and friends. His favorite song, and the most requested, was “Go Rest High on This Mountain.” He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and delighted in sharing his stories and adventures.  He also enjoyed car shows and beautiful rose gardens.

 

He is survived by his wife, Sandra H. Asbach; sons, Donald J. Asbach Jr. and Thomas W. Asbach; granddaughter, Sierra Asbach; great-grandson, Jerome; and brothers, Jerry (Judy) Asbach, Thomas (Julie).  He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Louis, John and Vicki.
