Sheba Harris

Obituary of Sheba Harris

Sheba Harris, 43, born November 16, 1977, was the daughter of Joyce Cornish Bell of Cambridge, Maryland, but was raised by her maternal grandmother, Rosa Lee Cornish.  She was greatly loved and respected by everyone who was blessed to have met and known her.  She passed away on July 16, 2021, at her home in Lacey, Washington.

Sheba attended Cambridge South Dorchester High School from 1992 to 1994, but graduated from Waynesville High School in Waynesville, Missouri, in 1996.  She earned her Childhood Development Associates through the United States Army Family Childcare Program in Mannheim, Germany in 2010.

As a military spouse and through her love for helping children, Sheba was a Family Childcare Provider (1998-2011), United States Army; Respite Care Provider (2013-2019), Strategic Resources, Inc; Respite Care Provider (2019-2021), GenRev Technologies, LLC; and Home Care Aide (2018-2021), Public Partnerships, LLC (Washington State Department of Social and Health Services).

Sheba loved reading books.  In fact, her Kindle book reader was one of her best friends.  Sheba loved her San Francisco 49ers and even enjoyed the heated matchups between them and her husband’s Baltimore Ravens.  Needless to say, Super Bowl XLVII was quite the event in their household.  Sheba was a Harry Potter fan.  In fact, her daughter, Mimi, and son, Zeek, were made shortly after watching a Harry Potter movie.  More than anything, with exception of her family, Sheba loved drinking coffee.  Many husband and children man-hours were spent ensuring that she had a mug of her many favorite blends.

Sheba was a very loving and caring woman with a blunt, honest and firecracker type of spirit.  If you gained her trust, then she gave you her love, loyalty, respect, but most importantly, her raw and uncut honesty.  Sheba definitely wasn’t afraid to tell people what was on her mind, but her heart was always in the right place.

Sheba leaves her memories, love, and legacy to her husband, Wayne Y. Harris, Jr.; daughter, LaTrra (pronounced LaTarra) M. Harris ‘Mimi’; sons, Wayne Y. Harris III ‘Sqworm’, Isaiah J. Harris I ‘Zeek’ and Aguinaldo Scott ‘Ag’; moms, Joyce Cornish Bell (Roy) and Rosa Lee Cornish ‘Mom-mom’; mother-in-law, Tanya M.
