Obituary of Virginia Ann Garcia

Mary and Gary Smith welcomed a beautiful daughter on August 25, 1972, and named her Virginia Ann, a family name. With her bright beautiful blue eyes she stunned many. She was not only born in California, but also grew up there, going to school, making life-long friends, and also modeling.

A close friend of hers in the summer of 1994 introduced her to the next chapter in her life, a blind date by the name of Bud Garcia.  After dating for two years, they tied the knot in the backyard of a family member’s house.

Shortly after their marriage they welcomed a baby boy on April 20, 1996, who they named William Anthony. Two years after welcoming him into the world, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Jasmin Nichoeal, born August 27, 1998.  They later adopted an older daughter named Christiania.

Wanting to give the family the best life, Bud joined the U.S. Army and Virginia became an Army wife for 24 years, a title that made her very proud. She helped the young soldiers feel at home, helped with FRG meetings, and always kept her family well taken care of since she was a stay-at-home Mom, another title she was blessed with. Their journey in the military retired in Washington state, exactly where they wanted to be.

Virginia has four great-grandchildren, Logan, Mia, Antonio, and the newest addition to her life, Zephyrah.

Virginia passed away July 5, 2021, in Rainier, Washington.  She will always be in our hearts, and we know she is always walking with all of her family in their journeys of life.  She will be missed dearly. God needed his angel back early, but she still lives in all of our hearts, and will be forever missed.
