Obituary of Timothy Joseph Rios

Timothy Joseph Rios passed away July 3, 2021, in Tumwater, Washington.  He was born January 13, 1949, to Joseph and Lee Rios in Merced, California.

 

Tim graduated from Fresno State University with a BS in Criminology.  Professionally, he was a senior project manager in the commercial construction industry.  He married Tessie on March 15, 1969. 

 

Tim always had a story to tell and a larger-than-life smile.  He was a protector, mentor, and confidant.  He lived every day for his family and loved spending time with them.  He also loved traveling, fishing, and trying new eateries.

 

He is survived by his wife, Tessie Rios; sons, Anthony Rios and Mathew Rios; daughter, Selena Rios-Shepherd; eight grandchildren; mother, Lee Rios; brothers, Daniel Rios and Michael Rios; and sisters, Kathleen Rios-Reeve and Elizabeth Rios. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Rios.

 

Services will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
