A 35-year resident of Centralia, Wash., Dave graduated from Centralia High School in 1994.  After graduation, Dave served in the U.S. Navy from 1994 to 1997 and was stationed on the USS Willamette (AO-180) at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He became a Certified Welder through Bates Technical College in 2005, and completed Heavy Equipment Operator Training in 2012 through the Operating Engineers Regional Training Center in Ellensburg, Wash.

Dave married Jaime (Swigert) Coady on August 14, 2012, in a small ceremony on a cold windy beach in Ocean Shores, Wash. He loved his family, both blood and chosen, above all else, and most enjoyed spending time with them.  Dave had a big heart and was always willing to help out a friend.  He was patriotic, proud and passionate in his beliefs, spontaneous, boisterous, had a contagious laugh. He was always up for an adventure and the life of every party.  He loved coaching and enjoyed watching baseball, hunting, fishing, and listening to stories from fellow veterans.
