Obituary of Larry Brice Kelley

Born August 20, 1942, in Lyons, Kansas, Larry Brice Kelley passed away February 28, 2021 in Olympia, Washington. He graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1970 with a Doctorate in Optometry. Larry enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970, after completing his medical degree. Not long after his time in the Navy, he opened a private practice in Lewis County. He had an optometry practice in Centralia, Washington, for over 40 years, and served generations of patients.

In addition to being a gifted optometrist, Larry had many interests throughout his life, including riding horses, sailing, power boating, golfing and gun collecting. He held a private pilot’s license, and was good at building things. He built everything from a barn to a drone. Larry was kind, generous, intelligent, caring and protective of his loved ones.

Larry was preceded in death by his son, Mark Alen Kelley, in 2016. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; his children, Kim, Sarah and Kerry; and his grandchildren, Christine, Nick, Trinity and Ryan.
