So sorry to see that Merv has passed away. He was a wonderful man, an exceptional man. He and his boys saved me when I was in deep trouble. I will always think of him fondly.
Warm regards,
Linda Sherman

It brings sadness to me in hearing of Merv’s passing. Merv & Carol are my Godparents and longtime family friends. I have the best memories & stories about growing up around the both of them. Merv was such a great man, funny, witty, caring, loving and yes a bit of a wise guy too, Lol! Which we all loved about him! Let’s all remember Merv with smiles and laughter, that is how he would want to be remembered. I know heaven has gained another angel and I know he will liven up the place. Love you Mervy....
Love, Dolly

Carol, Mike, Jamie, as Shari,
I met Merv over 20 years ago, at that time I had ask David Bershauer to build a house for me for over 5 months I waited for his response and finally, I said: "David you don't want to build this house so if you were going to have a house built for yourself and you were only going to be around part of the time during construction who would you have build it?" Without a nanosecond of hesitation he said Merv Smith" And so it happened and during the 6 months of construction, I got to know the Smith family as I lived next door to the house site. Merv had a great smile and laughed easily, but he and I had a couple of fallouts and Merv would jump in his van and drive up the street, he would be back in 15 minutes with 4 Americanos for the crew. I serve an occasional lunch to the guys and would invite a friend over to join in so they would have the chance to meet the Smith's. I have the best-built house around and I would not change a thing if it had to be rebuilt.
To all of you remember all the days you had Merv in your lives.
Sincerely Dee Doiron

We are saddened at the news of Merv’s passing but are surrounded by his memory in our beautiful home that he and his son’s built for us. Merv had a joy about him that made him fun to be around and easy to work with and you couldn’t help but like him. That, and his amazing life stories and experiences have kept him and his family in our hearts over the years and we will continue to keep those fond memories with us always.

We had the pleasure of working with Merv for many decades, and more recently with his Son's since Merv retired. Even after his retirement he and his Wife would always make it a point to come to our Customer Appreciation BBQ's where he enjoyed seeing and reminiscing with many of our customers that he knew as well. You could always hear his laugh above everyone elses. He will be missed by all that knew him. I know his boys will continue the legacy Merv worked so hard to build.
Best wishes...the crew at Kell-Chuck Glass.
