Obituary of Anita Lucia Nimmer

Anita Lucia Nimmer, 95, passed away November 6, 2020, in Lacey, Washington.  She was born February 16, 1925, to Karl Sommer and Lydia Iagott Sommer in Guhlen, Germany.  Over the years, she has lived in the Washington cities of Olympia (1966-1996), Tenino (1996-2016), and Lacey (2016-2020) at Woodlands by Bonaventure.

 

Anita married Henry Nimmer on April 23, 1952, in Berlin Germany.  She was a seamstress, housekeeper, and clerk at Peoples.  She loved to visit and entertain friends.  She was known for her delicious cooking, especially German meals, such as cooked red cabbage and rouladen. She also loved gardening and sewing.  She was a member of Turning Point Church.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Juliana Jolene Trujillo of Lacey.  Her husband, Henry, predeceased her on July 29, 2018.

 

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens’ Hospital.
