Obituary of Max William Layton

Max William Layton passed away August 21, 2020 in Olympia, Washington, where he was born April 22, 1951, to Cecil and JoAnn (Cardinal) Layton.  He was a resident pf Lacey, Washington, for 69 years.

 

Max graduated from Olympia High School and PIMA Institute.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, and received a National Defense Service Medal.  He married Iris Layton on February 1, 2008 in Olympia, and worked for Providence St. Peter Hospital as an x-ray technician for nine years.  He was a caring care giver, loved photography, candles, biking and music.  He also had the gift of gab.

 

He is survived by his daughters, Angela and Amanda; and six sisters, Dana, Elizabeth, Rose, Miranda, Wanda, and Linda.

 

Donations in memory of Max may be made to Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, PO Box 41150, Olympia, WA 98504.  On the check, please specify that the donation should go to the Welfare and Betterment Fund – Orting Soldiers Home DVA.
