Maximus “Max” Aunese, also known as Dondon, passed away July 18, 2020, in Olympia, Washington, his home of 14 years.  He was born September 20, 2001 in Fagaalu, American Samoa, to Filipo Aunese and Faamita Goodman (Tamiano).  Max lived in Aua, American Samoa, from 2001 to 2006, before the family moved to Olympia.

Max graduated with honors in the Class of 2020 at Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington, where he was a football team captain.  Max also was part of a friendship group called CHIMEL; the group sometimes become CHIMELNAWK.  Max had been accepted by Arizona State University to begin studies in sports medicine starting in the fall of 2020.

Max worked part time at The Valley Athletic Club in Tumwater, and also was a door dasher.

Max was a respectful and humble kid. He always motivated and pushed his friends to be the BEST.  He was passionate about football, family, music, traveling, and jeeps.  Max would easily light up a room with his beautiful smile and presence.  He always had a big smile on his face.  Max loved his brother, Martinac, and his dog, Manu. He also was a Mama’s boy!  :)

Max was a huge fan of Odell Beckham Jr., and a diehard Patriots fan.  He enjoyed going to the gym, and loved the water and the sun. He dreamed of traveling the world.

He is survived by his parents, Filipo and Takisha Aunese, and Faamita and Bryan Goodman; brothers, Martinac A. Aunese, Bryan M. Goodman Jr., Jordan V. Goodman; and sisters, Haley O. Goodman, and Faamativa Afoa.  He also leaves behind many, many friends.

Funeral Services for Max will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
