Obituary of Marnie Jo Vega

Marnie Jo Vega passed away June 26, 2020 in Tumwater, Washington, her home the last seven years.  She was born January 29, 1969, to Kate Baez in Tacoma, Washington. Over the years, Marnie also lived in Daytona Beach, Florida; Auerbach, Germany; Fort Lee, Virginia; Florence, New Jersey; and Wiesbaden, Germany. 

 

She married Juan Antonio Vega on May 24, 1997, and was a devoted wife, homemaker, and proud military spouse.

 

Marnie was lover of life.  She was witty and passionate, and led with her heart.  She had empathy for the suffering of others.  She enjoyed ‘70s and ‘80s music, pretty clothes, perfume, romantic comedies, crime documentaries, and dogs.

 

She is survived by her husband; son, John Ramlo; daughters, Katie Ramlo, Kellie Rose Ramlo, and Kasey Bryan; five grandchildren; mother, Kate Baez; stepfather, Nelson Baez; brothers, Rick Stickney and Julian Vincerzo; and sister, Dana McNutt; nieces and nephews, Ivy, Bella, Joey, Leanna, Gabi, Eddie, Javian, and Olivia.

 

A viewing will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020, 1:00-3:00 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Pear Blossom Place, 837 7th Ave. SE, Olympia, WA 98501.
