Dear Aunt Maxine, It's been almost a month since you passed, and I will just keep on missing your wonderful many words and notes to me, along with, endless memories! I still think of you as Max, or Maxie as you were to me. You and I are not that many years apart, and both were born in the same red brick house in Plain, Wiconsin. -Spending times your living at the Becker farm were great, you & I often spoke of fun things we did.You & I both loved our farm horses. I'm remembering a fellow stopping at farm and chatting with you, when - (like a little sister would kept hanging around). He graciously offered me a 'shiny quarter', if I'd run into the house for a while. It was always great fun seeing you with a brand new pair of Levis and telling the method of 'how to prepare brand new Levis'. Patsy Moersch also knew that proper method for Levis style. I remember after your HS graduation and your spending the summer helping Grampa Herb Schreiner's youngest sister,Irma, my great Aunt married to Uncle Elmer Hewitt managing the Ishanala Restaurant on Mirror Lake, that several times you invited me to stay with you in the upstairs Ishanala apartment. You loaned me your most beautiful lt. blue nightgown to wear several times, and finally giving it to me because I thought you wearing it made you a beautiful princess. You enjoyed going over to Talisen and reading the great books that Frank Lloyd Wright allowed young people to use. You just loved the beauty of farm life and Nature surrounding you. I too have enjoyed Nature all my life. I enjoyed you, and miss you. Much Love sent your way straight to Heaven! OXox

You will always be a light Maxine - loved the way you would fight for my gingerbread when at Christmas we would do the pass the present game with women’s group; the times we spent in your secret garden with all the flowers blooming and just laughing with you over tea in your kitchen! Namaste dear friend - Lov ya always - Ali

Dear Maxine, how I will miss you, your smile, your wisdom, your true heart. I will always see you dressed as a fairy, being blessed as the beautiful crone you are, and sitting across the table from me, sharing lunch. I'm so grateful to have known you, dear one. Thank you for being my friend. Sweet dreams, rest peacefully, fly high. Blessed be
