My granpa Louie was the greatest. Even when me & my girl were out shooting in the woods and we killed a guy and his dog haha. Granpa would like this story!

Linda and I are so happy to share the memory of my mother and father dancing their last dance at our wedding. It brought simultaneous tears and smiles to a lot of people.

No words can ever express the love that my other brothers and I (and sister) have had for Louis. He, being the oldest, led us through the years of growing up. Some of the younger years were interesting and humorous. Such as the time he spotted a cougar in the neighbor’s field and gathered Jerry, Don and I together, telling us to grab our sling shots and some rope....we had a cougar to capture. Thank God that the cougar got away! He,also, related to us, from experience, much of the values of life that can sustain us forever through faith in God. And later in life, he continued to remind of us those values. He, many times, expressed the desire to “be out of this old flesh body” and be with Jesus and also to see his beautiful wife Dawn once again. Well, he has got his desire and we know that he is having a great reunion!
Love you Louie!
Brother Tom

Louie you were something... a special person for sure
I remember one of my first memories of you ...I was at home as a very young kid and you and snook came rolling in the driveway in a very cool red convertible ! [as I remember anyway ] I was up on a high stool and my dad was giving me my regular butch crew cut ..and you both came walking in and I just remember the presence you had and how I said to myself ...I like these people ! and I remember after you both left how my folks said what nice people they were ..I do not know where gord and mike were at the time ..but anyway I continued knowing you and liking you for the rest of your life here on this old temporary home called earth...I know as your son said exactly where you are and how joyful it must be see you later

Mike and I had the privilege of being raised by this man. A man who had a perfect balance of enforcing rules and showing love. When he had to discipline us, I know it hurt him more than it hurt us. I will miss him dearly, but I have absolutely no doubt about where he is now. Love you Papa... Give mom a hug for me.

Was stunned to hear of the great loss to his family. Although I didn't know him well, I have watched his grandchildren grow up to be upstanding human being, of which, I am sure his love and guidance helped. I am so sorry for your loss, and will pray for all of you

I have many fond memories of both Louie and Dawn, (Snook.) I use to babysit the boys for them. At one of my parents parties Louie came up to me and put his arm around me and said "hello Son" (even though I am a girl) so it started that I called him Mom and Snook Dad. I truly loved them both like my second parents. Love you "Mom" so sorry that I did not get to see you .uch, but loved keeping up with you on facebook.

I am very saddened by the loss of such a gentle and kind human being. I feel so blessed to have been a part of his life. I too, believe that he was greeted pleasantly into heaven because of the faithful servant he was. I remember times just sitting around the fire talking to him about the love that he had for his wife and his family and it touched me hoping that I could find the kind of love that he had in his life. When I think of him, a smile comes to my face and when I remember him it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you Michael and family for sharing such a special person to touch each and every one our lives.
