Obituary of Linda Ann Hanscom

Linda Ann Hanscom passed way of lung cancer on January 11, 2020 in Centralia, Washington, her home the last ten years.  She was born July 16, 1946 to Maxine Hoyt Crosby and Everett W. Hanscom in Brunswick, Maine. 

 

Linda attended schools in Bangor, Carmel and Herman, Maine.  She loved to sing growing up, and was class vocalist for her 1964 graduating class, singing “Wind Beneath My Wings.”

 

Linda belonged to AA and was sober for 43 years.  She was very proud of her sobriety and considered it one of her greatest achievements.

 

She was smart, sarcastic, and had a dry sense of humor.  She was loved by many.

 

Linda is survived by her sons, Robert Alexander and wife Kym of Centralia, and Thomas Jefferson and his wife Ana Maria of Hopewell, Virginia; grandchildren, Elisabeth Phares, Anthony Phares, Victoria Alexander, Morgan Ayala Renteria, Johan Jefferson, and Thomas Jefferson Jr.; mother, Maxine M. Crosby of Carmel, Maine; sisters, Tanya Kinney and husband Daniel of Brewer, Maine, and Sonja Lovely and partner Bill Lepack of Livermore, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her father, Everett W. Hanscom, and stepfather, Vincent M. Crosby.

 

At Linda’s request, there will be no funeral.  Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Carmel, Maine.
