Obituary of Gregory Mark Zikas

Gregory Mark Zikas passed away December 23, 2019 in Tumwater, Washington, his home of 15 years. He was born April 21, 1957 to August and Lillian Zikas in Chicago, Illinois. Gregory grew up in Hillside, Illinois, and also lived in Arizona.

He graduated in 1975 from Proviso West High School, and earned a BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He served in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 1988 with deployments to Ft. Lewis, Washington, and Germany. Professionally, he was an accountant, tax advisor and estate accountant at the First National Bank of Chicago.

Greg loved playing guitar and keyboard, hiking, reading, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Dignan of Tumwater, Washington; brother, Fred Zikas of Delaware; and sister, Judith Atkinson of Staunton, Virginia.
