Obituary of Joyce JoBee Gibbon

Joyce JoBee McDaniel Gibbon passed away December 11, 2019 in Olympia, Wash.  She was born in Tellico Plains, Tenn. on December 19, 1936 to Thomas and Lizzie McDaniel.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was dedicated to her family.  She loved traveling and beachcombing, and had an extensive collection of seashells.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy Scott, James Scott, Samuel Scott (Martul), Rene Scott (Emily), Darrel Gibbon; daughter Cyndia Alvarez; brothers, Thomas, David and Earl McDaniel; sister, Eva Christian; grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Michelle, Jamie, Joyce, Jarred, Cyndia, Max, Jacque, Mimo, Stephanie, Oruul, Shawna, Cory, Nathan, Samuel, Matthew and Katy; great grandchildren, Zaria, Jayleen, Sammy, Evan, Synphony and Hannah. She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Marie Birchfield, Veda Locke, and May Nichols.

She will be truly missed by her family who will find comfort in knowing their lives have been enriched by having shared her love.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 16, 2019, 3:00 p.m. at Masonic Memorial Park in Tumwater.
