Alan Brown

Obituary of Alan Eugene Brown

Alan Eugene Brown passed away of metastatic pancreatic cancer on October 17, 2019 in Tenino, Washington, his home of 45 years.  He was born August 17, 1959 to Harold and Jeanette Pauley in La Jolla, California, and raised by his mother, Jeanette, and stepfather, Richard Brown.  Over the years, Alan also lived in Prescott, Arizona (10 years) and San Bernardino, California.

A 1978 graduate of Tenino High School, Alan served in the U.S. Navy (1978-1981), stationed in Hawaii.  He did farm work in the 1980s. He was a member of the Violet Prairie Grange, and First Presbyterian Church of Tenino.

Alan had chronic health problems from diabetes for much of his adult life, but never really complained, just kept on. He was always quick with a timely pun.

He loved to go out for Mexican food, was a dedicated kite flyer with his mother, and was a science fiction movie lover.  He also loved small animals, such as dogs, cats and other house pets.  In addition, he was skilled at small electric motor repair (military occupation).

Services will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Tenino, 196 Central Ave., Tenino, WA  98589.
