Bobbi, representing the Curlew Lake Association posted a condolence
Friday, May 31, 2019
On behalf of the Curlew Lake Association, we extend our sincerest sympathy to Jack's family. Jack was always the hit of the evening whenever he was able to attend one of our monthly meetings at the Lake. His laugh, his wit, his ability to hone down on very complicated issues that would come up from time to time, were all great attributes that he brought to the table. He was a remarkable man, a great friend to all and he will be deeply missed on Curlew Lake. I'm so glad he told Carolyn that he would "fly over" and check on us once in a while to make sure we were stilling doing everything just right!
Please watch over us Jack, we certainly need it!

So very sorry for your loss. Jack was always so kind and generous to me, I had to share of few of my favorites.
Jack would often include me and take me skiing with he and Carolyn and of course as a young adult it was always great that he would often pay. He tried to teach me how to sail. Not sure if I succeeded but I did love sailing. He would include me in many a weekend and holiday out on the canal, again teaching me and others how to crab. He even let me drive his Porsche one time. Carolyn, thank you for including me to all of these small adventures with you and your dad. He was a very fun and generous man. He will be missed.

My memories of Uncle Jack are many, and they all make me smile. No one could yell for the pigs like him. Anytime I think of him, I hear his loud, extended suuuuuUUEEEEE!! I remember when Chris was little and Uncle Jack teaching him, on the beach, to pee across the sand into a bag. I remember when we visited and we're heading to Mt Rainier, him and my dad explaining to Chris why you don't wear boots in the snow. Chris wanted to wear his cowboy boots and they kept saying he had to wear sneakers. But my favorite memory is when Uncle Jack pierced my ears. Aunt Lynne made marks with a pen and he carefully lined up the front and back after putting in a shot of novacaine. I was up all night sweating and vomiting, feeling like my earlobes were hanging on my shoulders. Neither the surgeon nor the pharmacist recognized an allergic reaction! And Uncle Jack started a new family tradition when he told my son Chris he had to call him GREAT Uncle Jack. I didn't see him much, but I miss him.
