Obituary of Carol Lynn Hansen

Carol Lynn Hansen joined her husband, James Christian Hansen, in heaven on May 26, 2019.  She is survived by her children, Christine Birkeland and Jason Hansen, their spouses and children, and her brother, Lorren Clements.

Carol was an avid Disney fan.  She had been a member of the MountainEars chapter of the Disneyana Fan Club since January 1993, and she was chosen by the Disney Company to be a member of the Disney Creative Advisory Council in 2002-2003.  Carol went to her favorite place – Disneyland – two to three times a year.  Her best times were her annual girls’ trips there with her closest and dearest friends, Barb and Lu.  Carol’s favorite holiday was Halloween, and she loved decorating her house for the annual Halloween party.  She and Jim also had a passion for hot rods and were members of the The Classy Chassis car club in Burien, Washington.

Carol’s soul was that of a child - pure, sweet, kind, and full of love and happiness.  She would always be dancing to the beat of any song when given the chance.  She spent most of her life in retail, and there isn’t a customer she met that didn’t remember her.  She had a ready smile for everyone and a laugh that everyone could feel and share.  Her hugs were the warmest and sweetest.

Carol loved her family and friends fiercely.  She will always and forever be remembered and missed.

“If there is a tomorrow when we’re not together, there is something you MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER.  You are Braver than you believe, Stronger than you seem, and Smarter than you think.  But the most important thing is, even if we are apart, I’ll always be with you.”                                      --A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
