Obituary of Theda June Silva
Theda June Silva passed away due to congenital heart failure on May 10, 2019 in Lacey, Washington. She was born July 2, 1938 to Marion and Grace Milton in Las Animas, Colorado. Throughout her life, she resided in Philadelphia, Arizona, Nevada and California, amongst other places.
Theda married Charles Clifton Garner on November 7, 1954; they later divorced. She later married Alex Raymond Silva on February 15, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked in retail sales, and as a cook and waitress. She enjoyed collecting antiques, crafting, sewing, crocheting, shopping, and cooking.
Theda cared very deeply for everyone she loved, and focused on her family, which was of utmost importance in her life. She was kind, giving, hopeful, loving and courageous. She always told it like it was, and could be feisty, ornery and opinionated, which added to the complexity of her personality and life.
She was survived by her husband, Alex R. Silva Sr. of Olympia; sons, Charles C. Garner of Eagle Point, Oregon, and Alex R. Silva Jr. of Olympia; daughters, Linda K. Burgess of San Diego, California, Kathy L. Donathan of Temecula, California, and Vickie L. Treadway of Auburn, Washington; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Kenneth E. Milton; and sister, Barbara (Kay) Garner.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 11:15 a.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA 98042.
