Obituary of Anthony Newsome-Moffa

Anthony Newsome-Moffa, 21, passed away May 18, 2019 in Olympia, Washington.  He was born June 26, 1997 to Kayla Newsome-Hayes and Claire F. Hayes in Yakima, Washington.

Anthony graduated from Olympia High School in 2015, and earned a BA in Public Health-Global Health at the University of Washington. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.

Anthony was a loving, kind, and generous person.  He gave his personal time to others in need, including working with the homeless.  He enjoyed football, martial arts, and swimming.

Anthony is survived by his parents; sister, Ashley Bennett; and grandmother, Gloria Newsome.  He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jerry Newsome, and Doug and Helen Moffa.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 26, 2019, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Olympia High School, 1302 North St., Olympia, WA 98501.  Please use the Carlyon Ave. SE entrance.
