Obituary of Walter Sherman

Walter Sherman, born August 2, 1946, passed away May 7, 2019 at 12:40 a.m. at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife, Judith Sherman; his four children, Steve (Masako), Ron (Kirsten), Kevin (Jessie), and Laura; 18 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Walt is also survived by his sister, Jean (Jerry); brother, (Michael); and nieces and nephews.

It is during these times of reflection that we reflect on God’s love for each of us. We know the love that we have for our father, grandfather, brother, and friend is only a fraction of the love that God has for each of us.

Walt was a regular guy, but in the course of his life became a great man! He was loved heavily by everyone around him. When each of us pass on, we leave ripples behind in the lives we affected. Walt left waves! He was a proud veteran who served his country honorably. He dedicated decades of service to the Boy Scouts of America, receiving numerous assignments and recognitions. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many capacities. Walt is a modern-day example to all of us!

We will miss him terribly. He has now moved to the next chapter in the eternities and returned to God who gave him life!

If you would like to pay respects, a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, 12:00 noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2195 Jackson Hwy, Chehalis, WA, 98532.

Until we meet again in the presence of God and Angels, we love you Walt!
