Obituary of June Loraine Luebke

June Loraine Luebke, 90, passed from earthly life to eternal life with Jesus on March 26, 2019 in Lacey, Washington, where she resided from 1959 to 1976 and 1997 to present.  From 1976 to

1997, she lived in Yakima, Washington.  She was born August 8, 1928 to Rev. Ewald Gustav and Emma Charlotte (Carlson) Beckman in Truesdale, Iowa, where she lived until her senior year of high school, when the family moved to Jackson, Minnesota in 1943.  She was the youngest of five children.

 

June graduated as a Registered Nurse from Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1951.  She married William F. Luebke from Wilmot, South Dakota in Minneapolis on August 6, 1955.  Among her hobbies and interests were reading, family activities, Bible study, picnics, weekend beach and Mt. Rainier trips, and traveling with her husband.  She was active in Homemakers Club, PTA, and Christian Women’s Club, where she coordinated monthly luncheons and home Bible study groups. She was Sunday School Superintendent and elementary teacher at Olympia-Lacey Church of God, and later taught the college age class there.

 

She is survived by her son, Jon Luebke (Gretchen Leaf); daughter, Judy (Kevin) Milligan; and four grandchildren, Ross (Molly Fashola) Milligan, Heather (Scott Landro) Milligan, Holly Milligan, and Madelyn Milligan.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill (passed Jan. 8, 2007); her parents; and siblings, Harold, Stanley, Gladys, and Robert, and now joins them in Heaven.

 

A memorial service to honor June will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019, 1:00 p.m., at Olympia-Lacey Church of God, 5005 Lacey Blvd. SE, Lacey, WA 98503.
