Obituary of Hayley Jean Burke

Hayley Jean Burke passed away of osteosarcoma on March 4, 2019 in Tacoma, Washington, only a few days short of her eighth birthday. She was born March 21, 2011 to Kristi and Casey Burke in Olympia, Washington.  A lifelong resident of Tenino, she was a student at Parkside Elementary.

 

Hayley lived life full throttle.  She was her parents’ wild child who loved all people and animals.  She was creative, smart, inventive and funny. She loved playing with her brother and sister, her steer Rocky, cats, playing piano, unicorns, and rainbows.  She loved Sunday school, her family, and Jesus.  She also loved music; her Uncle Adam was her favorite musician.

 

Hayley is survived by her parents, Casey and Kristi Burke, twin sister, Sydney, and brother, Gavin, all of Tenino; grandparents, Walt and Linda Burke of Vancouver, Washington, Denny Finegan and Lori Seaunier of Tenino, and Dave Seaunier and Martie Smith of Tenino; great grandma, Jean Robinson of Tenino; and great grandparents, Bob and Bev Seaunier of Tenino. She was predeceased by grandma, Lisa Burke, and great grandpa, Don Robinson.

 

A celebration of Hayley’s life will be held Saturday, March 30, 11:00 a.m. at Tenino High School, 500 W. 2nd Ave., Tenino, WA 98589.

 

Memorial donations in Hayley’s honor will be given to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma. If you would like to participate, please drop off small toys, crayons, books, nail polish, card games, etc. at both Tenino Edward Jones locations or bring them to her service on March 30.
