Obituary of Brittany Leigh Anderson

It is with great sadness that we announce that Brittany Leigh Anderson passed from this life on January 18, 2019, at age 30. She was born on March 3, 1988.  Her unexpected death at this young age was a shock to all who knew and loved her.

Brittany is survived by her daughter, Madison Leigh Anderson Veres; her parents, Carma Anderson and Scott Anderson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Brittany grew up in Olympia, graduated from Olympia High School, and attended South Puget Sound Community College. She loved all types of music, and especially enjoyed acting and singing on stage in “Broadway” musical plays.  A lover of animals, she was active in 4-H for several years with her horse, Sassy.  Extremely creative, it showed in her eclectic fashion, renovating and adding her personal touch to old clothes to make them uniquely new.  Her creativity was also expressed in her ability to repurpose old furniture and  other items to make them decorative and useful in new ways. An avid swimmer since age four, she enjoyed all water activites in pools, rivers, lakes, and Puget Sound.  She loved to bake chocolate chip cookies and decorate cupcakes.  Family and friends were always important to her. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker and Mom to her cherished daughter, Madison.  Brittany will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

A celebration of Brittany’s life is scheduled for Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1515 Harrison Ave. NW, Olympia, WA 98502.  As all animals were especially dear to Brittany, memorial donations may be made to Adopt a Pet of Shelton, 940 E. Jensen Road., Shelton, WA 98584, or your favorite charity.
