Obituary of Nadine Troglia
Nadine (Roberts, Crick, Gawer) Troglia passed away the morning of January 30, 2019. Nadine celebrated her 90th birthday last spring. She was born Nadine Roberts in Aberdeen, Washington, and grew up in Brooklyn, Washington, where she met and married her first husband, Jim Crick, who passed away in 1958. She married Ed Gawer in 1971 and he passed away in 1997. Nadine had been married to Jim Troglia since 2001.
Nadine was a wife and mother first, a musician second, and an artist third. She taught private piano lessons both in Brooklyn and Montesano until she took a secretarial position with the telephone company. Nadine lived the last 44 years at Lake Nahwatzel, and spent the last 25 winters in Yuma.
Nadine is survived by her husband, Jim Troglia; daughters, Christine Barton, Janine Manners, Karen Pate, Cindy Gawer and Tracey Mendosa; son, Scott Crick; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of the life of this glorious wife, mother and friend on February 8, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at South Sound Manor Event Center, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater, WA 98501. All are invited to tell stories over lunch.
