Obituary of James Edward Crum

James Edward Crum passed away January 11, 2019 in Centralia, Washington.  He was born February 26, 1938 to Cecil and Nelly Crum in Ray, Arizona, where he grew up and attended school.  James was a 45-year resident of Tenino, Washington.

He was in the U.S. Air Force from the time he was 17 until he got out when he was 21 years old.  He married Barbara Kay Stowe in Superior, Arizona on May 28, 1960; she died on December 9, 2006.

James worked for copper mines in Arizona, and uranium mines in New Mexico and Wyoming.  He moved to Washington in 1972 and worked for Centralia Mining Company until his retirement.

He loved to tell jokes, was quite a character, and loved pulling pranks.  He loved watching old westerns on TV, reading Louis L’Amour books, driving his tractor, and visiting with his many friends.  He was loved by many and he loved them too.

He loved his little companion, Stretch, and took that little dog everywhere he went.  He also loved hanging out with his best friend and cohort, Wayne.

James is survived by his daughter, Tracy Arechiga, and her husband, Pablo, of Tenino; daughter, Floy Adamczewski, and her husband, Todd, of Lacey; son, James Crum, and his wife, Kelley, of Centralia; daughter, Randi Grue; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.  James is also survived by his two sisters, Roberta Fendley, of Queen Valley, Arizona, and Berna Denney of Arizona.  He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Barbara; infant daughter, Cindy; and his parents.
