Obituary of Kathleen L. (Cook) Vallery

Kathleen L. (Cook) Vallery passed away January 11, 2019 in Rochester, Washington. She was born November 09, 1949 in Olympia, Washington, to Wilburn Lee Cook and Lois Mae (Furlong) Cook.

Kathy graduated from Tenino High School in 1967 and took college courses from Utah State University. She married Daniel L. Broumley on December 12, 1969, and they had two sons, Neil D. Broumley and Aaron L. Broumley. The couple divorced in 1993. Kathy married Larry T. Fair on October 13, 1994; he passed away in July 2012. She married Roger Vallery on March 15, 2014.

Kathy worked at Utah State University while attending classes and then for Washington State Labor and Industries for 25 years.  She enjoyed sewing, bowling, square dancing, car shows, and spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; son, Neil D. Broumley, wife, Tina, and their children, Garrett, Grady and Gavin; son, Aaron L. Broumley, wife Jennifer, and their children, Orianna, Aliyah, Emma and A.J. Boothe; son, Jamie Vallery, and wife, Katie; daughter, Melissa Vallery, and child, Riley; siblings, Allen Cook, Sheila (Cook) Brown, Eugene Cook and Debbie (Cook) Stewart.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 18, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Forest Grove Cemetery, 18011 Northcraft Road SE, Tenino, WA 98589. There will be an open house from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 18501 Paulson St. SW, Rochester, WA 98579.
